How could I forget the safari pics!!!!

Ryan sat in my lap or stood with me in the front seat to help feed the animals. Ryan's idea of feeding was to open the window, duck down laughing and let mommy deal with the animals getting into the car:

Our Family Vacation

We decided to go to Virginia this year to see my mom, sister's family and my uncle. July's vacation there, if you remember, was scrubbed. BUT I think this was SO much better! The weather was great, not too chilly and not hot. Here are some pics from our 4 days in Virginia.

Sorry, Folks, the moose out front should have told you...

Well, actually, I should have told you, we are on vacation. And as of right now, I have been too busy to hook up ye olde notebook to upload pictures. I will assure you you though, we are having fun. The weather change, however it was chilly when we left Central Florida, has been wonderful. And believe it or not, the leaves are changing right in front of our eyes! Just gorgeous. I am actually looking out the window thinking they are more beautiful today than yesterday. Must take the camera outside.
The weather last night for Trick or Treating was great. Not too frigid. The terrain for our outing was a bit mountainous and took it's toll on my knees and caused me a bit of a fall. Guess high-heeled shoes were a misstep on my part. Allen did rescue me before we started back down the mountain in the van. And I think Ryan's little legs appreciated it, too. All in all, Ryan raked in the candy and began begging for it as soon as it hit his bag. Go figure.
Today we are doing the safari, a favorite of ours. Ryan should be able to understand more of what is going on when the animals attack, I mean visit our car. I am taking the video camera this year because the last time it was hilarious!
Ryan is enjoying being with his cousins. Mommy and Daddy are enjoying the mini-break from being play partners 24/7. And Erin is kicking away as I type. So life is good. I will report more later! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Our Pumpkins for 2008

I still don't trust Ryan with a big knife or my handy-dandy metal pumpkin scraper or my pumpkin carving tools. I guess it's something about the sharp edges. haha And that I am somewhat of a perfectionist when I carve pumpkins. This year I stepped out of the pattern realm and did different designs. We got 2 pumpkins from the patch 2 weeks ago, one for Ryan and one for Erin (who is still bakin' in my belly). And I think we will still do one with the family up in Virginia. Anyway, here are our 2 Florida pumpkins.

Ohhhh, Charley!

Ok, I thought this picture was funny because of these reasons:
1. She looks way too happy to have a Charley Horse.
2. What is she wearing?!?
3. Is she even a she?

I digress. Last night, well early this a.m., I got my first charley horse with this pregnancy. I got them with Ryan in the middle of the night and hated it. Here I thought that maybe I escaped the wretched grasp of Charley. Speaking of which, why IS IT called a Charley Horse?

A Site to Behold!

Seriously, this lady is talented! I am always amazed at what she can can and DOES with fabric. I don't sew but even if I did, I would be super impressed! Anyway, she does bi-weekly giveaways. This one ends on Friday. Beautiful dress!!!!!

For the LOVE of Starbucks and Crockpotting!

I saw this on my fave crockpotting site! Not only do I relish the day of the year that Starbucks comes out with their Pumpkin Spice Latte, I also love to learn to make stuff myself. Yummy!
