Memorial Day at Leu Gardens

We decided today to take a little trip to Leu Gardens. It was a pretty hot day but with the shade of the trees, it was actually pleasant!

Ryan accidentally ran into some twigs, thought it was hilarious so he proceeded to "accidentally" run into every twig, palm frond, bush thereafter.

After Allen mentioned that he could be carrying spiders with him, we decided it wasn't funny anymore. So Ryan waved by to his last palm frond.

I am incredibly tired so it's hard to think right now. But here goes...

1. I am thankful for my husband. Right now he is stepping up to the plate to do almost anything he can so I don't have to do it. He can be a little frustrating at times but he means well. It's not that I am physically unable or that I don't want to, it's because he cares enough about me and this baby to do it all. He's crazy and I know he will burn out but it's nice to know that he is willing with little complaining.

2. I second Tib's dishwasher praise. Now if only I could find someone to load it, run it and unload it for me.

3. I know it's ridiculous and you all are probably rolling your eyes but I am thankful to be pregnant again. I have given up almost every enjoyment I have just to make sure that I am doing everything as "right" as I can. No caffeine. Zero, zip. No baths and that is big b/c I love a nice, hot Lush bath especially when I feel crappy. No going to the parks. After my bleeding episode it made me more aware of what SLOWING down means. So going to Disney is out for now. There is other stuff but my brain is just not clicking today. Anyway, those are not complaints. This baby is worth it. You hear that down there? You're worth it so stop making mommy feel so yucky already. (said pointing a finger to my belly)

So, it's only Wednesday. BUT who the heck cares. I had a little early pregnancy scare last night. I ran and got my betas pulled this morning and they came back great. And, my issue from last night seems to have ceased. But not the morning sickness and that is A.O.K with me!

Please Lord, give me the strength

For the Love of Sleep!

So here I am, up at 5am (probably closer to 4:30 am). Why? Somehow I fell asleep at 8:30pm last night. So, now I can't sleep. I have also come to the realization that morning sickness is finding me. I barely ate dinner last night. My stomach wasn't quite right. This morning again, not right. So what went from a 6 week start period with Ryan to a 5.5 week start period with my last pregnancy has come to this. Yay (said quite flatly).
I am off to make my grocery list. And tomorrow, I mean TODAY, I will have to start cooking and freezing so Allen and Ryan don't have to live off of fast food for the next 2 month.

It literally can happen with the blink of an eye. I am really thinking about buying these. I saw them on Tiburon's blog and thought they were super cool.

Gee, what should I be thankful for this week...haha

1. I am thankful that God finally brought another baby into our lives. Yes, it's growing in my belly but just knowing THAT is awesome. I pray that this one sticks for us and keeps growing.

2. I am thankful that yesterday is over. Ryan is almost 3 but his tantrums tell me he is still 2. Yesterday was a day full of them. He's just lucky no gypsies were roaming our neighborhood looking for kids. I may of even discounted him.

3. I am thankful for decaf coffee. It isn't just about the caffeine. That's just a perk in an early morning. I like my hot cup of mostly Splenda and cream with a hint of coffee in the morning.

4. I am thankful that I can work from home. It's not fun. It's hard to balance work and life at home. BUT I also get to watch my child grow up and make money doing it. It's been called the best of both worlds. I don't agree with that 100%. But it does have it's perks.

Crock of Crapola

Yep, I am saying it. I love Circuit City. We buy almost all of our electronics there because their warranties have been fantabulous. Gave us a brand new DVD player that was better than what we had bought. Got my camera back to me in record time. That is until...dundundunnnnnn...the iPod. I sent my iPod in because it went on the fritz (aka was DOA). I have had it since Christmas. So the replacement process was a little slow. I can handle that. What I can't handle is that once you have gotten a replacement iPod that you have only a 90 day warranty NO MATTER WHAT warranty you bought originally. So, that 2 year warranty I probably have is now crap. I can understand if I dropped the stupid thing or my child flushed it but it broke on it's own. Makes no sense to me. So, boo-hiss, Circuit City.

Hello, Cupcake!

Ok, I admit, not that you didn't know from other posts, but I love dessert. My newest obsession (pie is sooo yesterday) are cupcakes. I picked up this cookbook "Hello, Cupcake" a couple of weeks ago and love it. Ryan likes looking through it screaming "Cupcake!". Today at school, they celebrated Ryan's summer birthday. So, I made cupcakes! I decided these would be perfect. His class loved them, as did the staff.

It's Official!

The Turner Family is expecting another baby to debut either at the end of December or beginning of January! I went for my first OB visit today and they have my due date set as Januay 8,2009. It most likely is off by a few days but we will take it! We are really trying hard to slide under 2008. We will see if that is a reality once the measuring begins.

It all started last Tuesday morning when I decided to take a test on a whim at 4:00am. It as early, the bathroom is dark red and I was tired. I saw nothing, nada. I hid the test, embarassed that I'd even taken it. I didn't want Allen to see it and either make fun of me or get sad. So that day, after my tea at Ryan's school I remembered that I needed to throw that test away. So as I walked into my kitchen I noticed a faint line. I about died. Here is the barely there inverted and colorized test...

So after much prompting (ahem J05, Susan and Heather), I tried a digital test...

So, I was definitely NOT losing my mind (well I am but not in this arena). I concocted a way to tell Allen.


And inside was the digital test. He was shocked to say the least. I think, until today, he was still not 100% positive.
And this is the mayhem that ensued after those initial tests (there were 2-3 more but they were too much alike).

The last one was from Mother's Day, just for me.

So, yes, I am VERY excited. I have prayed and prayed that this would happen for us again. And now I have prayed for a peace over this pregnancy. I don't want any doubts. So, I have peace. And I am loving it!

Whoop, Hair It Is!

Wow, this week I feel like I have alot to be thankful for!

1. I got to be a part of my first Mother's Day Tea with Ryan. Yes, it wasn't perfect but it was still a huge deal.

2. Allen's car so far (knock on wood)is running and hasn't cost us an arm and a leg (yet).

3. Ryan contracted some type of virus that is very contagious. However, his temp was down this morning and I am so thankful for that. No mom wants to ever see higher than 104 on the thermometer.

4. This is mostly a general one but probably the most powerful. God is constantly answering my prayers this week. Or maybe I am just listening better. Either way, I will take it! Thank God, and I mean that literally.

Mother's Day Tea

Yesterday was a big day for us. The one I will blog about today was Ryan's Mother's Day Tea. I don't know if you remember, but at his Christmas party he pretty much laid on the ground and cried during the singing. Yesterday was almost a repeat performance. Ryan gets so incredibly excited when he sees me that he cannot contain himself. He has to run up and hug me like I have been missing for years. It's sweet. But when you want your child to perform, it's frustrating. So, in mid-sprint to me I told him I wanted to see him sing. That is all it took. I apparently made him feel rejected. And he broke down. Mrs. Turner tried to get him to recover but could not. And I didn't want everyone else's song ruined so I let him come stand by me. With tears streamig down his face, he made small motions while the kids sang. At the end, they gave us carnations and led us to our tables. We ate cake together, opened gifts, etc. That part was great, other than Ryan swiping mommy's cake. haha (he already had eaten his) Anyway, here are some pics!
