Looks kind of cute, doesn't it? I always thought rats were ugly and mice were cute. I was wrong. This is a rat. And I think he is kind of cute. However, he's not so cute when he and his gang have decided to shack up in your garage and your attic without signing any type of agreement. I noticed a "noise" in the garage 3 weeks ago. And slowly the process of figuring out just what I heard has come to light. We set up the the camera and tripod Saturday night to see just what we were dealing with. And the rats were not shy. We saw them. They were cute. Then Sunday we heard about the type of destruction they can cause. So, they aren't so cute anymore. We've tried to vacate them (okay terminate them) on our own. And now the big guns are coming in. Poor rats. I hate killing them but they really need to go away quickly so I can get my laundry done without being completely creeped out.

That is a cute rat.
We had rats in the attic of our old house and exterminated them without the slightest feeling of guilt. I was so afraid they would move from the attic and come into the main house!!
Get rid of them now. Mice and rats carry diseases and they leave poop and pee everywhere. Trust me on this one...I had a mice infestion in my garage and it was nasty. They were living in my washer and dryer. Actually they were living everywhere in my garage. O, and they multiple in numbers very quickly! Also, they eat everything. I lost a really nice tent to those cute little mice :) Also make sure you don't have any open boxes in your attic. They like to live in nice warm places like open boxes full of junk!
