Did I mention that Ryan LOVES butterflies?

Seriously, I think it was pretty close to one of his first complex words. We only can think that maybe a Little Einsteins video made this love affair begin. Anyway, when we went to Animal Kingdom on Saturday, we took the train out to Rafiki's Planet Watch. It's basically a place to show what all the vets do, school you on animals and bugs and pet some animals. The front of the main building has this beautiful floor design done. Ryan took about 20 laps (no, I am not kidding) around the circle then stopped and ran to inside of the circle. It's no doubt he'd do that with the huge elephant or even the tiger and monkey. Not Ryan, he becomes obsessed with this butterfly on there.

We got him out of that area, only after he tried to pry the concrete design of the butterfly up with his little fingers. Inside there were butterflies intermingled with animals EVERYWHERE. He was running from one butterfly to the next. When we finally got outside to the petting farm, we thought that it would be awesome. He loves the dogs and the cats at our house. We got him in and he really wasn't interested. So we left. And what catches his eye? I plastic storage case full of plastic butterflies in different colors. That was THE best $5 ever spent at Disney.

He fell asleep with 2 in his bed the first night. Sunday night, he fell asleep with one in his hand. The Little Einsteins figures "play" with the butterflies. It is amazing. If only they weren't so girly, I think I know what I'd decorate in!
